<h2>Text or video? Which will get you more sales?</h2> The biggest rivalry of them all…It’s not Pepsi VS Coca-Cola, it’s not Messi vs Ronaldo, it’s THIS, and it’s time to finish it.&nbsp; The problem with this debate is that copywriters and people who make ads will tell you text is more important, but video editors tell you video is more important. Both of these opinions aren’t valid for one reason. It’s one-sided. Both sides are doing their own thing, and of course, they’re going to tell you their job is more important. That’s why you need an opinion from a third angle. You need someone who’s experienced with both sides and someone who can look at it from a “bird’s view”.&nbsp; And that’s me, of course.&nbsp; Let’s get over both sides, and we can see in the end which one is more important. A good text in an ad will do the selling. Telling people how can we help solve their problems, who we are, and what they are supposed to do in order to get in touch with us.&nbsp; A short, concise text with a good call-to-action will do at least a good job. On the other hand, video(or image) will provide your audience will a visual representation of your product, service, your business, your employee, and even yourself. A good video, with a good background, music, good lighting, and adequate person talking in the video, can do a phenomenal job of representing your business, and even improve selling.&nbsp; There are 2 things to pay attention to before we decide which is more important. 1. The best option is obviously to have both of them on an amazing level.&nbsp; 2. We count the script of the video as the text. Okay, to explain the winner in short manner: - Good text with a bad video → WILL sell. - Bad text with a good video → WON’T sell. Text is more important. The only reason is that it can work on itself and sell, but a video with a horrible script, no matter how professional and good it is will only get a view(useless thing) and not sales. When making an ad, focus primarily on the text, and after that try to make the video as best as you can, because you’re selling the most if both are great. You can do that all alone, or… You can work with someone who has done that a million times. Someone who’s living because of marketing and ads. Is it good, will it make sales, should I have done this, that, and all sorts of questions come up right before you do it? I’m here to make things easier for you. I’ll give you 8 questions you HAVE to ask yourself before publishing your ad. Only after you can answer all the questions with “Yes” can you start the campaign. Here you are: 1. Am I targeting the audience that will most likely buy from me? 2. Does my ad have a clear call-to-action? 3. Does my ad have an attention-grabbing headline?&nbsp; 4. Does the video/image match the text in the ad? 5. Does my ad have unnecessary words that won’t change the ad even if I remove them?&nbsp; 6. Does my ad match the knowledge of my audience? Do they know about their problem, my product/service or are they not aware of anything?&nbsp; 7. Does your ad have a unique and clear offer? 8. Would you click on your ad? *You can find information about call-to-actions, headlines, videos, and other things I mentioned in my other articles.&nbsp; Don’t fall into the trap of the majority.&nbsp; Don't do it even if you can answer yes to 9 of these 10 questions. <h2>How (not) talking about your product/service can double your sales?</h2> DON’T TALK ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT/SERVICE. I, and every good marketer, can’t emphasize it enough. DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT/SERVICE. People don’t care. Maybe you care, it’s yours, it’s your idea, you spent time on it and that’s all good. In today’s article, I will prove it to you why that’s false. Well, to some degree at least.&nbsp; It’s actually okay to talk about your product/service, but only in a few specific scenarios.&nbsp; I will explain to you which scenarios, but let me not do something important first. It will be REALLY hard because many people are already doing it, but if you do it right… You’ll leave businesses that talk and not talk about their products miles behind you.&nbsp; Let’s get into it. It heavily depends on your reputation and the market’s awareness. What I mean by that, let’s put it like this. Coca-Cola doesn’t need to advertise about pain points. They don’t need to talk about drinking a refreshing beverage when it’s hot. Why? Because people know about Coca-Cola. They just need to advertise themselves and talk about their products. That’s scenario number one. In short, it would be stupid for a dentist to advertise that you should go see a dentist if you have a bad tooth. It’s useless because people are well aware of the problem and the solution. You have to show them that YOUR product/service is the right solution. Therefore, when is it okay to talk about your product/service? It’s okay in 3 scenarios. 1. If people are aware of your business, you and your business have a great reputation, you’re somewhat famous, etc. 2. You’re offering something people know they need. This applies to dentists, car dealerships, etc. But you can’t do it if you have a roofing company because people aren’t, usually, aware of the problems you solve.&nbsp; 3. Both scenarios together. In this case, you even go hard and talk only about your products/services.&nbsp; Think this through before taking action because it will have big consequences depending on what you do. Talk with your friends, partners, customers, and clients, and use the internet, and any resource you have. After you’re 100% sure you guessed right, you can start getting that money in again.&nbsp; That’s one way at least. There’s another way that is much quicker, more efficient, and easier.
