<h2>How to avoid making the most common mistake in advertising?</h2> This is the mistake that NO ONE can avoid at the beginning, and that’s okay.&nbsp; The problem is that the majority of people keep making it and lose tons of money without growing their businesses. When I learned about this, it stuck to my brain so much that I can explain it to you in detail at 3 am while drunk pit bulls are chasing me because I stole their golden Aztec eggs. You can’t avoid this mistake at the beginning of your business.&nbsp; Everyone makes it because it’s “logical” at first.&nbsp; However, the real problem is that the majority of people just don’t stop making it.&nbsp; The reason for that is unawareness.&nbsp; Not being aware of this problem will cost you much more than you think. You won’t have the privilege to only lose money, but you’ll lose your time and a huge number of potential customers or clients.&nbsp; The solution will sound easy, but you’ll have to resist the urge to do the same thing over and start implementing new stuff. Read the next line at least 10 times to fully cement it into your brain. Do not talk about you or your service/product. After you’ve read it 10 times, let me explain myself. To put it simply, nobody cares. It sounds a little bit cruel, but it’s the same for you. Put yourself in your audience’s position. You’re lying down in bed, enjoying your evening, browsing the internet and you see some ad. An image attracts your attention and you start reading it, and the ad says something along the lines: “I am X…” “I do this and that…” “My product is the best because…” And you just skip it because you don’t care. I remember making my first ad.&nbsp; It was like running away from a cocaine-addicted pitbull who hadn’t eaten anything for 4 days. It was horrible and I hated everything about it. It took a lot of my time and killed my patience, but in the end, something wasn’t right. I tried to find the reason behind it because I was genuinely confused. I read books, listened to podcasts, paid courses about marketing, and did everything as they said. I tried images of cute animals, professional images, different headlines, videos, and everything until I made a compelling ad that would perform. After a few days, I finished making it.&nbsp;I asked my mentor about it, some people from my network, and everyone said the ad was good. The text was good, the video was great, and the call to action was clear. Everything was on point.&nbsp; Thus, I run the ad with a solid daily budget for a week. Of course, you’ll need data for this, and that’s why you should ask your clients why they came, why they bought, and how they felt, but don’t be creepy about it(I don’t recommend it, I heard it’s a bad thing to do). After that, you make your ad target the exact age range, interests, gender, hobbies, and location. It may sound easy, but it takes some analytical and reasoning skills, and if you manage to pull it off, your sales will skyrocket. However, there is an even quicker and more efficient way to do all of this. It’s to work with someone who already has done this.
