Things you MUST NOT do if you want more sales 


There are a few things you must not do when you’re making ads if you want to get sales. 



They are not really forbidden, but they will kill your chances to sell with your advertising.



Let’s get over them quickly:



1. Don’t offend them:



I know you don’t mean it, but it comes across like that. 



Even though “Do you have rotten teeth?” is a perfect headline for an ad, it won’t work.



Nobody likes to agree with that and most people will understand is an insult. 



2. Don’t miss the market’s sophistication:



Imagine telling 55+ year-olds: “Are you looking for a personal coach who will get you in shape.”



You won’t find many interested people.



Or imagine saying to a 17-year-old: “Are you looking for a 3-room apartment?”



The same story.



Find your exact audience and approach them as they would talk between themselves. 



3. Don’t forget how design actually works:



Every single thing in your design has to do something.



It needs to add something to it.



Don’t put random things and colors because they will only subtract. 



4. Don’t put your logo at the start:



Literally, no one cares. 



The headline goes first, always. 



5. Don’t talk about yourself:



Similar to the logo, no one cares…at the start.



If you start talking about yourself, your services, or your products, nobody will care.



But if you show them the problem, and then show them that you and your services/products are the solution, it’s a perfect match. 



And even then, be careful to not talk about irrelevant things. 



Just stopping doing these things, will immediately get you more sales.
